How about some (fairly sensible) things that people liked about the Cruise (except you are not allowed to say 'everything').

What was your favourite bit - perhaps both sailing and non-sailing?

We had a good time in Coriander: she would have been very difficult to handle without a reef in! To try to improve her tacking (and the fact you have to use the jib properly / cautiously or you end up up the bank) Jon rigged a laser mainsail as a staysail: this balanced her quite nicely, but didn't head up nearly as well as the proper jib Sad

It was worth it for the fun of rigging it though Smile

Michael - glad you enjoyed the cruise! My favourite part was probably the sailing, although I really enjoyed the discussions I had as well Smile I also found that being a mate is a lot more work than being a JO!

Actually, my favourite bit was sailing at 6:30 in the morning down to Horning next to Camellia - we had the perfect wind for it, and the morning was beautiful! SmileSmileSmile

Mark, I was wondering how you managed to rig the staysail. What did you use as a halyard?

We used the topping lift (which was a slight problem when dropping the main, but the boom wasn't too heavy!)
